The Legend of ‘Cutie Patootie’ Aang

[EDIT: If you are linked here from an external site, then it’s most likely from the one plagiarizing me. The original post about Avatar’s sequel (Legend of Korra) is here.]

I once referred to Aang as a cutie patootie in a Journal assignment, hence the title. And just for the fun of it, here’s an adorable picture of Aang:

Oh well… The point of this post (because believe it or not, there is a point), is to praise the “one thing led to another” scenario. All I was looking for was a written version of Katara’s soliloquy on the opening sequence of the TV show, and I was quite successful in that aspect.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang, and although his Airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he’s ready to save anyone.

But I believe Aang can save the world…

However, I figured that I might as well go all out and search up a YouTube video or something. Unfortunately, I only found silly goofs that simply did not respect the amazing creation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I did find this wonderful fan-made video though, and let me tell you that it’s awesome. Despite my distaste for the movie, I find it pretty entertaining.

The narration is from the very first episode, The Boy in the Iceberg.

Moving on, as you all know, there’s these recommended videos to the right of the video you’re currently watching in YouTube. Well, I clicked a link and lookie what I found! The faces of the voices behind the faces — okay, the faces of the voices behind the cartoons. (Yes, that does sound less confusing ;D)

It’s AMAZING! It’s so surreal, even Zach Tyler Eisen looks like Aang a little bit… if you shave his head and paint a blue arrow on it. ^__^ As for Zuko, it’s so surreal it trespasses over to the strange territory. I can’t help but envision Zuko’s face every time Dante Basco speaks. It’s simply astounding.

Oh, and Sokka and Momo/Appa are cool, too. But not as much as Aang and Zuko!!

So yeah, one thing did lead to another. Got to love when things happen like that.
