Would you rather have Starbucks or Jamba juice right now?
Uhh, what one earth is a ‘Jamba juice’? It sounds like an American thing, much like Starbucks but then again, I’m familiar with that coffee franchise. I love me my coffee. Either way, I’m feeling like having a nice hot cup of coffee right now, seeing as I’m ready to drop dead from sheer exhaustion.
Last night, I had a Supernatural marathon instead of revising for the maths mock exam the next day, so this morning I’m sincerely regretting my lack of common sense… or self-control. But what can I say? I’m in the middle of Season 3 of Supernatural and I’m hooked on the bromance-y angst! Or is it angsty bromance?
Huh. I really need caffeine. Ugh.
Over and out.
Because I like making lists. Lists are cool.
Beverage: mochaccino from this ‘new’ coffee house that my friend and I discovered yesterday, and have asked two of our friends into visiting. And by “asked” I mean forced (not that they minded… much).
School: Yeah, this week was fine in terms of school. I’m sort of caught up with homework and such, and I am actually enjoying Media classes.
Music: Kelly Clarkson’s “What Doesn’t Kill You”
Crush: this dude right here
Hype: My friends and I are excited for the the new Avengers movie coming up. I, myself, am looking forward to Robert Downey, Jr. and that dude who plays Loki… and the Incredible Hulk. I just like the color green, okay?
Random: second-hand books stores are great. I bought Andersen Fairy Tales, Grimms’ Fairy Tales and a Doctor Who Traveler’s Guide all for less that £4, so win-win for me.
So this pretty much sums up the week for me. Well, it sums up what is at the forefront of my mind right now, specifically. Have a good weekend, everyone!
I felt like I’ve been running out of things to write about, so I decided to answer one of Daily Post’s prompts: What is the most relaxing place in your world? If someone asked me that before today then I would’ve answered with my bed, under the covers with a good story to read. But things change, and my recent experiences with life in general changed my “relaxation zone” from my home to coffee houses. Of course, my home is still in the Top Five, so in the words of the 3 Idiot‘s Rancho: all izz well.
So why coffee houses?? Well, for one thing, they have coffee. For another, the new friends I made here in England all like to hang out in Costa (so do I, for that matter). And lastly, did I mention that they have coffee?!
The New Costa Light
I went out with one of my friends to town today and since it rained sporadically, we decided to take shelter in Costa once we finished shopping. The atmosphere was so warm and the coffee so heavenly, I found myself thinking that I could spend a lot of chilly afternoons here and just relax. Read a book. Write stories. Think.
Costa is somehow becoming the Central Perk for my friends and I. We may not spend all of our time there like what Chandler, Monica, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe and Joey do… but we talk about the place so much we might as well be living there! ^__^
