12 Days of Waiting

To all the Whovians out there, here’s another trailer for The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe Christmas special.

Okay, I am that little bit more excited!! I can’t wait until Christmas if it means watching this totes epic totally incredible episode. 12 more days!

Hello, December

Hey all, it’s the 2nd of December! You know what that means*?? Well, a couple of things, really…

  1. There’s 23 days until Christmas
  2. 20 days until the last day of term, so NO MORE SCHOOL
  3. The year 2012 is just around the corner — eep! and
  4. It might snow!

Yeah, it’s been a loooong time since I’ve seen snow. However, unless there’s going to be a freak drop in temperature, I doubt it’s going to be a white Christmas. But y’know, I’ll take what I can get. Christmas is about family, isn’t it? ^_^ So I can’t complain.

Anyway, it’s been a hectic few weeks full of mock exams, essay writing, studying, social obligations and mindless distractions. Oh, the life of a teenager… I can’t wait to take a break and simply be. And stuff myself on Christmas chocolate.

*No, it doesn’t just mean November’s passed and I’ve completely messed up NaNoWriMo >_<

Doctor Who’s 2011 Christmas Special: The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe

The title says it all. Watch the trailer below.

Seeing this trailer has completely thrown me into the festive mood. Despite it being late November already, I have to be honest and say I am not feeling the Christmas season… that is, until now. Matt Smith as the Doctor!! EEEEP!!!

Screw receiving presents. I want my quirky Doctor back *wicked grin*

Onyx the Hamster

Two years ago (2009) as a Christmas present, my grandparents brought my brother and me to the pet store to buy a pet. We both chose hamsters not only because they were cute, but because my classmate and close friend also had one as well.

I chose to name my hamster Onyx, since she had dark as night eyes. I’m not really sure if Onyx is a dark gem, but I like the ‘x’ sound at the end. And the name sounded exotic. Unfortunately, while we were away at school, the two hamsters escaped. Apparently, the cage door was foolishly left open by one of the maids while she was cleaning it out.

That was a sad day for us siblings.

Your memory would forever be with me, Onyx. You will never be replaced (since I really am no good with animals). Apart from the many goldfish who lived and died before you, you were my first pet and I love you.
