And I totally agree.
I’m not a follower of TV shows, and if ever a particular show catches my eye, I wait until the season has ended and get a copy of the entire thing. So whenever I catch The Big Bang Theory on TV, I just flip the channel to see what else was on. But just last week, a friend of mine recommended the show as a total must-see. She even posted the link to watch it online on my Facebook wall.
I’ve recently finished watching the entirety of Season One and now I’m trudging through the beginnings of Season Two, but get this: I’m already head over heels in love with geekiness! (Not that I wasn’t before >.<)
If you haven’t heard of The Big Bang Theory before, here’s a quick overview:
Leonard, an experimental physicist who has an IQ of 173 and received his Ph.D. when he was 24 years old, shares an apartment with his colleague and friend Sheldon, a theoretical physicist who possesses a master’s degree, two Ph.D.s and an IQ of 187. Even though both left their homes and live in a rented apartment, they are the prototype of those genius geeks who share all sorts of passions such as comics, computer games or quantum physics which don’t make them very popular.
But things are about to take an unexpected turn… Penny, an attractive blonde, moves in an apartment, across the hall. Leonard falls in love with her at the first sight. Although he admits she is rosy about the gills, Sheldon doesn’t agree with her presence in their life. A waitress at the local Cheesecake Factory and also an aspiring actress, Penny will show them, step by step, how little they know about the life outside the laboratory.
Of course, let’s not forget Leonard and Sheldon’s other friends, Rajesh and Howard. The former is a particle astrophysicist who cannot speak in front of girls — well, really hot girls who smell nice. And the latter? Howard is just creepy. Very creepy. While I’m in love with Sheldon’s OCD-ness, Leonard’s hung-over-ness (??) with Penny and Rajesh’s awkwardness with the ladies, Howard is just CREEPY.
Well, this is me going off to watch more of TBBT. See ya’s! ^__^
